Salvequick Wound Closure Strips 8pcs

Sterile adhesive closure strips for minor wounds, which help hold the edges of the skin close together. They are a mechanical closure method and are not the same as an ordinary covering plaster.

Features:

• Contents: 8 sterile strips.

• Small size: 5 strips, 3 × 75 mm.

• Larger size: 3 strips, 6.4 × 80 mm.

• Sterility: Sterile product.

• Application: Adhesive strips that hold together the edges of minor wounds.

• Purpose: To support wound closure, where wounds are suitable for treatment with strips.

Used to close minor wounds when the edges of the skin can be brought together without excessive force. Not intended for deep, extensive or serious wounds that may need stitches.

Directions for use:

Clean and disinfect the wound following proper first aid guidance.

Carefully dry the skin around the wound.

Gently bring the edges of the wound together.

Place one strip across the line of the wound so that it holds the edges of the skin together.

If more strips are needed, place them parallel to each other, no more than 1 cm apart.

Watch the area for signs of inflammation or infection. If they appear, seek medical advice.

Important precaution: If the wound is deep or gaping, is on the face or near a joint, was caused by a bite, or will not stop bleeding, it needs to be assessed by a health professional. Do not try to close with strips a wound that may need medical cleaning or stitches.
